Vultisig Frequently Asked Questions

What are the biggest differences between Vultisig and all the other cold and hot wallets out there?

Can users import their existing address into Vultisig?

The single-sig private key and seed phrase of existing addresses are single-sig wallets, and cannot be imported into a Vultisig - which is multi-sig wallet. This is to maintain and improve the security of the vaults, as single-sig seed phrases may have been previously exposed or had a bad generation, making them more vulnerable.

For example, a lady has her handbag snatched with two mobile phones inside the handbag and she has Vultisig 2of2 or 2of3 vault setup with both mobile phones

Scenario 1 : With mobile remote data wipe feature setup done and with at least 67% of vault shares backup done properly

  1. Erase mobile phones data remotely.

  2. Buy new devices and import vault shares backup to new devices to regain access to the vault.

Scenario 2 : WITHOUT mobile remote data wipe feature setup done and with at least 67% of vault shares backup done properly

  1. Buy new devices and import vault shares backup to new devices to regain access to the vault.

  2. Immediately move your funds away from this existing vault.

You would still loss access to your funds if you do not have at least 67% of vault shares backup done properly. ALWAYS BACK UP EACH DEVICE INDIVIDUALLY
